The Lightbox joins forces with CornerHouse for an exciting new Art project

Commissioned artist Rachel Gadsden will work with participants to create a permanent art work which will be sited in the museum within the Brookwood Hospital Archive. The aim will be to create an artwork produced by a group of people who are current Mental Health Service Users.

The Lightbox will be opening in July 2007 and will be a friendly and lively gallery and museum. It will be a dynamic and inspiring place to spend time, to think, to discover, to have fun. It will feature stunning materials and spaces and include changing exhibitions covering contemporary art and heritage.

There will also be a permanent museum of Woking’s history, café, shop, education studio, canal-side garden and a busy programme of activities and workshops.
