New Community Development Worker

Ghazala Waheed is no longer the co-ordinator of the Shifa Asian Women's Group but has taken up a new post as a BME Mental Health Community Development Worker for North West Surrey. Although employed by Surrey Community Action, Ghazala is still based at CornerHouse and still maintains some input for Shifa.

Ghazala will be working with BME communities in North West Surrey to promote positive mental health and help build capacity within these communities. She will also work in partnership with service providers to improve access to mental health services and improve engagement between the BME community and statutory agencies.
